A string wound filter using degreased cotton material is a depth-filtration cartridge made by winding natural cotton yarn around a porous center core. The degreasing process removes natural waxes and oils from the cotton, enhancing its liquid absorption and chemical compatibility for specialized industrial fluids. 

Key Characteristics

• Material: 100% natural, degreased (or bleached) long-staple cotton yarn.

• Center Core: Usually made of stainless steel (like 304 or 316) or polypropylene, depending on temperature needs.

• Filtration Type: True depth filtration via a honeycomb gradient density design (looser outer layers and tighter inner layers).

• Temperature Limit: Typically handles higher temperatures than standard synthetic polypropylene, up to around 120°C (250°F) when paired with a metal core.
