A coalescing filter is a special separation filtration device designed to capture tiny liquid droplets (water, salt mist, oil, acid liquor) suspended in gas or liquid flow, widely used in air intake, wastewater, compressed air and marine anti-salt systems.
Its hydrophobic/oleophilic composite filter media attracts scattered micro liquid aerosols (1–20μm). Tiny droplets collide, merge and grow into large liquid beads under airflow impact. The condensed liquid flows down the filter surface and drains out through built-in drainage channels, while clean dry gas passes through to downstream equipment.
Primary inertial separator: Blocks large splashing liquid drops first to reduce filter load;
Coalescing core media: Multi-layer hydrophobic glass fiber/PP composite, the key liquid capture component;
Drainage housing & automatic drain valve: Discharge separated liquid to avoid secondary re-entrainment;
Fine post-filter: Traps residual solid dust and dry crystalline particles.
Coastal generator air intake: Remove sea salt mist to protect winding insulation;
Compressed air system: Separate water and oil mist from compressed air;
Wastewater treatment: Separate organic oil droplets and acidic mist in wine/chemical wastewater;
Marine ventilation, offshore platform air filtration.
High liquid removal efficiency (≥98% for aerosol droplets);
Hydrophobic media will not absorb liquid or release captured pollutants again;
Low airflow resistance, stable long-term operation;
