Pneumatic Reciprocating Scraper Self-cleaning Filter

A pneumatic reciprocating scraper self-cleaning filter is an advanced industrial liquid filtration system. It uses an air-cylinder-driven scraper that moves up and down along a wedge-shaped filter mesh to automatically remove trapped impurities on-line without interrupting the fluid flow or using disposable filter consumables.

Working Principle 

• Filtration Mode: Liquid enters the inlet and flows from the inside to the outside of the tubular filter element. Impurities are trapped on the inner mesh surface while clean liquid exits the outlet. 

• Triggering: A PLC control system monitors differential pressure or elapsed time. When debris builds up and the pressure drop reaches a set limit, a cleaning cycle starts. 

• Scraping Action: A pneumatic cylinder drives a PTFE or stainless steel ring scraper up and down in a reciprocating stroke. 

• Purging: The scraper pushes solid debris down into a collection chamber at the bottom, which is then periodically flushed out through a drain valve.
