Unfiltered liquid enters the bag filter housing from the inlet and flows into the interior of the filter bag. Under fluid pressure, the liquid passes through the porous filter‑bag medium, while solid particles, sediments and suspended impurities are mechanically intercepted and retained inside the filter bag. Clean filtrate flows out through the housing outlet. As contaminants accumulate inside the filter bag, the pressure differential across the filter gradually rises. When the pressure drop reaches the preset value, the filter bag needs to be replaced to restore filtration performance. Most bag filters adopt inside‑to‑outside flow direction, so all intercepted impurities stay within the filter bag, avoiding secondary pollution to the downstream pipeline during bag replacement.
